I'm a twenty two year old sci-fi/fantasy writer, who sets a lot of his style from the old 'pulp' magazines of the 20's/30's and mixes it with 50's-70's retro sci-fi writing and random victoriana...which is probably more then you needed to know :) I used to be really into martial arts for many years...and am hoping to get back into Jeet Kune Do and possibly fencing while im here in eugene oregon. I have just not done any sort of martial art for over a year now, and feel kinda out of practice. I am however a huge show off with the nunchaku and butterfly knives. I love movies of all kinds and am a bizzare sort of cinephile, in that I generally appreciate the 'bad' action/adventure/sci-fi flicks more then the 'good' serious dramas I see. Still my tastes run to all types these days. I am also really into music, having worked at a record store for the last six months prior to moving here, with my most recent musical obsession being the bizzare gypsy/carnival subgenre. And of course, I love to read. I am not a big party guy, being a bit uncomfortable around crowds of new people, but I do enjoy drinking and making new friends. In that regard, well, I make friends fairly easily as I am incredibly laid back and accepting. I hate to argue as I find it essentially pointless. I love to cook, veg out...and have really good conversations. hmmmm that about covers the basics I suppose.
