I enjoy exploring new places, new ideas and re-exploring the familiar. I'm a Discovery/NatGeo/History channel junkie and probably have NO clue about the latest sitcom, TV drama or celebrity gossip. I enjoy the outdoors. I like day hikes and long drives, taking the scenic route when possible. I enjoy cycling and can handle myself around horses. I'm not much of a team sports guy with the possible exception of baseball. I enjoy reading. If I can say I have a favorite author, its Orson Scott Card. I also enjoy Pratchett, Frank/Brian Herbert, Glen Cook, Larry Niven, some Piers Anthony, hit or miss with Crichton. I also like the occasional philosophy (Rand), astronomy (Hawking) or futurist (Michio Kaku) book. Music is a big part of my life. I'm one who believes life has a soundtrack. My tastes are kinda quirky but classic rock, 80's progressive & roadhouse blues make up a big chunk of the list.
